You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. That doesn’t just apply to sports.

On a seemingly normal trip to Monterey, I shot a tree at sunset with my phone camera, unaware of the result. Hours later, when I looked at the photo for the first time, I noticed the vibrant blues and reds colliding around the jet black silhouette of a leafless tree. In that one photo, a passion was born.
